Why Detoxes Are so Important and Real Benefits of them

Whether you consider yourself a vegan, meat eater , paleo , keto , or whatever other thing that is out there today, we all need to detox our body. Detox from what? you may ask yourselves. I’m here to get you to look outside of yourself and open your eyes to the things you may not consider in your everyday lives.

Everything you will learn in this article I have sourced from a book called Cleanse to Heal by Anthony Williams. Things that I have found in this book are the only things that have helped me with my symptoms of chronic yeast infections and other problems. Are you ready for this? Let’s dive in!

“Chronic illness is growing at an alarming rate. Even with the massive amounts of organic foods being cultivated now, even with the awareness about removing processed foods from our diets, even with the newest modalities, sickness is present like never before. No one is escaping illness, not unless they have the right information to stop the ticking clock.” AW . When I first read this quotation is when I finally had a breakthrough moment. How many times in my life I thought “ I need to be vegan, or I need to eat more organic foods , or cut this out or add this” but at the end of the day I was still feeling sick overall and my symptoms were still in full effect.

WHY WE NEED TO CLEANSE

Lets really take a look at what is out there in the world. Lets take the pollution we breath in. Or the pesticides , and funguses in our foods. Or the thousands of hidden things we either eat , breath in or put onto our skin. What do you think happens to it? Does it just disappear into thin air after we’ve digested or inhaled it? I would love to say that its how it works but really, these things get trapped into our body and stays in it for months or years causing minor or major symptoms. Our bodies can not get rid of these toxins without our active help. And this is where a good detox comes in.

THE ONLY DETOX THAT HAS WORKED FOR ME AND THOUSANDS OF OTHERS

When I tell you that i’ve tried so many meal plans and cleanses in the past I think it would be an understatement to say it so lightly. I would see something that someone recommended and i’d immediately try it only to be disappointed that it didn’t help me. I was beginning to think that I’m doomed and that I’m the only one dealing with this problem. However, when I would google my symptoms it seemed that there were thousands of other women dealing with the same problem but no one seemed to know what to do to heal. I was really losing hope. Until I found Anthony William from the Medical Medium. I stumbled on his instagram page really randomly and I am so glad that I did.

Williams has many different cleanses from the celery juice cleanse, to the liver detox cleanse to the one that I did the 3:6:9 cleanse.
All of his detoxes support on another, meaning you can do them together or focus on one if you have a specific problem you want to heal. I want to share with you the one I did and how you can do it if it interests you.

 

 

How the 3:6:9 cleanse works

This cleanse is split up into 3 blocks of 3 days. The first 3 days is where your body is pretty much preparing for the cleansing process, the next 3 days (the 6) is where the internal cleansing begins and the last 3 days (the 9) is where your liver rids the toxins to help you in your healing process. Depending on how bad your symptoms are, you may need to do more than one round of this process.

There are also 3 different versions of this cleanse. The Original, Simplified, and Advanced. For the purpose of this article we will look into the original. The 3:Preparation (days 1-3)

Guidelines:
• Liver rescue morning (hydrate & avoid radical fats).
• Avoid gluten, dairy, eggs, lamb, pork, canola oil.
• Reduce fat consumption by 50%.
• If you eat animal products, stick to one serving per day in the evening (lean, organic,
free-range or wild).
• Focus on bringing in more fruits, vegetables, leafy greens. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, &
winter squash are great to build up fuel in the liver for later phases.

The 6: Internal Cleansing Phase (Days 4-6)

Guidelines:
• Avoid radical fats entirely (nuts, seeds, oils, coconut, animal proteins, etc.).
Eat as much as you need to feel full.

The 9: The “let go” phase. Toxins released into the blood stream for excretion.

Guidelines:
• Avoid radical fats entirely (nuts, seeds, oils, coconut, animal proteins, etc.).
• Stick to the foods outlined in the chart (page 348). Eat as much as you need to feel full.
If you are 100% raw, there are alternatives to the cooked dinners.

Day 9 is a juice day.

I strongly recommend you get this book if you want true healing. I just touched the surface of this cleanse so you can know what your getting yourselves into. However if you really want to do the cleanse you will need more tools such as the meals to make, what to do if your feeling a certain way and a lot more support that I can’t include in one article.
